Melissa R. Theriault

Of Counsel

Melissa R. Theriault joined Woodhouse Roden Ames & Brennan, LLC in 2022, bringing years of successful, diverse, and client-centered representation and litigation experience. Melissa began her legal career in a prominent Wyoming civil litigation firm where she focused on medical malpractice and civil defense litigation cases. From there, she joined the Wyoming Attorney General’s Office Consumer Protection Unit protecting the State of Wyoming from unscrupulous business practices. Next, Melissa was appointed the Director of Wyoming’s Medicaid Fraud Control Unit, where she investigated and prosecuted Medicaid providers accused of abusing, neglecting, and exploiting vulnerable Wyomingites and served as a Special Assistant United States Attorney for the District of Wyoming.

Melissa is also an active member in and dedicated supporter of her community. She is a member of the Women’s Civic League of Cheyenne, provides case management for people with developmental disabilities, volunteer representation and support to indigent people with disabilities, and served on the Wyoming Governor’s Council for Developmental Disabilities for five years.
