James Bardwell

James was admitted to the practice of law in Colorado in 1994, and Wyoming in 2019. He joined Woodhouse Roden Ames & Brennan, LLC in 2019. In addition to admission to practice before the state courts of Wyoming and Colorado, James is admitted to the U.S. Tax Court, the U.S. District Court for Colorado and to the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals, which covers both Colorado and Wyoming.

In addition to general civil law experience and Federal tax experience, James has specialized knowledge of Federal regulation of the trade in firearms, both the regulation on manufacturers and dealers in firearms, and the regulation on possession of certain highly regulated firearms such as machine guns and sound suppressors. He has consulted with other attorneys on both civil and criminal cases regarding firearms possession, as well as administrative hearings regarding licensing before the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms.
